About Helsinki City Trail
This is a trail running event for everyone! We offer great trails in the heart of Helsinki, beautiful scenery and a fantastic atmosphere. The race centre is situated at the legendary Eläintarha Sports Park next to the Olympic Stadium, which also serves as the start and finish. The race centre at Eläintarha, or as the locals call it, “Eltsu”, is easily reachable by trams 2, 3 and 7 A/B from the city centre or Pasila.
Three trail loops are available: 6 km (to Kivihaka), 14 km (to Pirkkola) and 24 km (to Paloheinä). The trail overlaps on the way out and back only at the crossing of bridges. We will provide a downloadable map soon. In the meantime, you can view the route on Movescount:
Before the race:
You can pick up your race pack on Friday 22 September between 1-8 pm from the race centre at Eltsu. This will make things run smoother on the race morning. However, you can also pick up your race pack still on Saturday morning between 9am and 1pm at the race centre.
At the start:
In order to avoid unnecessarily crowded trails the start will take place in groups (number of each tbc). There is no need to choose the starting group at the time of registration. Each runner will select their group on the race day based on their expected finishing time. The first groups for each distance starts as follows:
After the race:
We hope to see you there! For the moment, for any questions, please send us an email or get in touch via Facebook.
